>>>ECMO in Motion
The CARL Mobility Concept enables uninterrupted ECMO operation during both in-hospital and out-of-hospital transport. Logistical efforts are significantly reduced, while the continuity of therapy is fully maintained. A system that adapts to your specific scenario, not the other way around.

Ready for Immediate Use
Thanks to its plug-and-play design, the CARL ONE Controller is ready for ECMO therapy in no time. In automated priming mode, the CARL ONE Set can be de-aired in just a few minutes – a crucial advantage in emergency situations. Preconfigured components reduce potential sources of error and increase process reliability. This allows the focus to remain where it is most needed: on the patient.

Airborne ECMO Transport
With the CARL ONE Controller, airborne ECMO transport is possible without any need to switch equipment or interrupt treatment. Critically unstable patients receive continuous care throughout the entire transport. This minimizes delays and additional risks. For uninterrupted critical care.
ECMO Therapy at a Glance
The integrated venous BGA enables immediate monitoring of treatment and provides early indications of potential under perfusion. The optical measurement method ensures continuous monitoring throughout the entire course of ECMO therapy. This allows you to make informed clinical decisions based on valid real-time data.

30-Day Approval
As an essential component of ECMO therapy, the CARL ONE Set ensures safe and reliable use in everyday clinical practice. All of our sets come with a 30-day approval for clinical use. For you, this means greater flexibility in treatment planning and increased efficiency during daily clinical practice.
CARL. ONE in Use

CARL. ONE saves lives at St. Antonius Hospital in Kleve
For the first time at St. Antonius Hospital in Kleve, the CARL ONE Controller was used on a critically ill patient with acute cardiac arrest.

With a battery life of approximately six hours, the CARL ONE Controller sets new standards in mobile ECMO care. The resulting reliability, even during longer transports or in the event of infrastructure failures, gives your mobile ECMO team valuable peace of mind in all high-risk situations.
In the unlikely event of a control unit failure, the pump drive can be temporarily powered directly by the battery. This ensures that ECMO operation continues without the need for manual emergency measures such as manual cranking. The result: maximum patient safety with minimal strain on the ECMO team.
The CARL ONE Controller features a Pven limiter. This prevents venous pressure from falling below defined thresholds, thereby helping to stabilize ECMO operation. If the pressure falls below the threshold, the speed of the pump drive is automatically adjusted. This significantly increases the safety and reliability of ECMO therapy, particularly during volume fluctuations.
The CARL ONE Controller uses the CARL Perfusion Manager to record the entire course of treatment seamlessly in the form of log files. This allows real-world data to be specifically used for the training and continuing education of perfusionists, nurses, and physicians. Additionally, comments can be added to further enhance the traceability of the treatment. For continuously improved and more stable ECMO therapy.
An additional backup display ensures that all relevant parameters remain visible at all times. Even in the event of technical complications, the CARL ONE Controller allows you to maintain full control over ECMO therapy.
The CARL ONE Controller is available for purchase or through a flexible usage model. In addition to the purchase option, we also offer rental or leasing solutions for our ECMO devices, depending on your specific application. Our team will be happy to advise you on the available models and work with you to find the right solution for your facility.
